If an hoster does not provide Fantastico or a 1-click install script we have to install Wordpress manually. What are the best ressources/tutorials explaining how to install Wordpress manually with CPanel? Installing Wordpress: http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress (Upgrading WordPress: http://codex.wordpress.org/Upgrading_WordPress) Tutorial: http://www.siteground.com/tutorials/wordpress/wordpress_manual_installation.htm Any other relevant link on the install of Wordpress with CPanel? Thank you
Don't you think here http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress is explained well enough? All you need to do is create a database, and put details in a config. Rest is done by Wordpress.
it is not a very big task to install wordpress on a cpanel hosting, you just need to 1. Create a database and database user from your cpanel and assign the user to the database 2. edit the config.php in the wordpress package, (the file itself has all the details in commented lines to help you) 3. upload to server, and when you open your site for the first time it will automatically installs (just enter blog name and email)
