    Would it not be easier to compress it all and then place back on to the new cpanel compressed and extract it all?

    All you would have left to do then is the databases?

    we tried it doesnt work, the server where the files are is not great. the only solution is ftp

    Login to old server and then use copy function to move the files over to new server as WebFTP supports ftp to ftp transfers.

    Otherwise if you have a zipped copy of files from your old host, then you can use my script Web Download to download that zip file to your new server which should work
