    alivedirectory.com - Heavy under promotion, read somewhere Chris is getting over 1600 uniques a day :eek:
    botw.com - Old and good directory, great backlink.
    umdum.com - new and good directory by loren baker, heavy under promotion

    site-sift.com - good directory by stuart mchenry
    wowdirectory.com - old and good directory by bruce, new under promotion with wowdirectoryarticles.com
    massivelinks.com - nice directory by Fabio, great backlinks
    thisisouryear.com - good directory old style!
    dir.yahoo.com - one of the best directories out there..

    Well that's about it for me.. Good luck submitting your website(s), beware all of the above directories are paid to get in.

    Can you guys explain exactly what makes a good paid directory? I.e. what makes it worth it to me as a business owner to pay to have my site listed on these directories?

    Is it just Google PR you look at? Other things?

    My question is: what makes you to pay 40-200 USD [one time fee] for a submission in a Top10 directory? The directory's PR, the amount of the presumed unique visitors, the quality link you'll get, the directory's reputation [and so on...]?
