Looking for a simple, clean logo for a new site. The logo should say "Spotlight on Raleigh." I have a PSD file here with the word "Raleigh" that you can use. Please cut the word "Raleigh" from the PSD file and use it in your logo (feel free to decrease the size of the word -- it's pretty large right now). You can choose any color for the words "Spotlight On." However, blue, gray, or black would probably look nice. I was thinking of having a small spotlight shine on the word "Raleigh," with a drop shadow underneath. * The logo should have a white background, and say "Spotlight on Raleigh." * The logo's width should not exceed 180 pixels (to fit the site design). * The winner will receive $35 paypal prize money. * Contest will run for 7 days. * Final delivery should be in PSD format. Thanks - look forward to seeing your designs!
Hi jakehard. Thanks for your entry, but it's not quite what I’m looking for. Would prefer to have "Spotlight On" on the first line, with "Raleigh" on the 2nd line. The navy blue color kind of clashes with the blueish-green color of the word "Raleigh." Could you try using a gray or black color for the word "Spotlight On"? Or, maybe a blue color that matches with the color of "Raleigh." I like how you incorporated the idea of a spotlight. However, the yellow looks more like a sun, than a spotlight. Could you try to create something that looks like a spotlight -- or just use the words Spotlight on Raleigh -- and forget about the spotlight. Either is fine.
c0rrup - Nice, but I like it better without the yellow spotlight. Please move the word "Raleigh" up (closer to the first line - there's too much vertical white space between the 2 lines). AmpedHosts/LegitDesigns - Creative, I like the handwriting font for the word "on" and I like how you tried to add the idea of a spotlight. Don't like the megaphone or the eyeballs, though. The logo with the arrow is the best one (out of the three). Could I see the arrow logo with the word "Spotlight" as one single word (no capitalization in the "L"), and with "Spotlight" in a grayish font? Onlyfights - Creative idea to add the spotlight to the letter "p." However, the gray spotlight just doesn't look good. Please make the word "on" separate from the word "Spotlight." kpelon - It's simple, but it works. I like how you added the word "on" in the middle. Please change the background color to white. 666Satan - Nice concept, colors are attractive. However, the "on Raleigh" text is squished together, and somewhat hard to read. redhouseforums - I’m incorporating the logo into a Wordpress theme, and the vertical lines (on top and bottom of the words) don't look very good with the theme. Would prefer to have a logo without the lines. j0opre - This is probably the most creative rendering of a spotlight combined with the text. I don't like the orange color, though -- and the Evid Wordpress theme has very limited spacing for the logo's height. Would work best to have a longer width than a longer height. Otherwise, it screws up the theme's header. redeemer - I like the black spotlight graphic, but I don't like the two-tone yellow spotlight. If you want to add a spotlight, I'd prefer to have it coming from the left -- since the logo will be placed in the upper-left hand corner. That way, the eye moves to the right (into the navigation menu). adwaitk007 - Looks spooky with the neon-green color and jagged font. Not quite what I’m looking for. To All: The website will be using the eVid Wordpress theme, which consists of blues and grays. The word "Raleigh" doesn't have to be blue -- just as long as something in the logo is blue.
