    cpanel works on linux only.
There is similar crossplatform solution - Plesk Panel, works on linux much more stable than on windows

cPanel is also going to provide Windows control panel. Enkompass is the name of control panel. Currently, it is in Beta version. There are many new features available. For more details visit http://cpanel.net/products/

    Thanks!

i'd say linux buddy. virus attackes on your windows pc can be painful enough, and if something of that sort happens on your server, you are dead. go only for linux hosting, and cpanel works with it.

cPanel can be very confusing for those who are not familiar with it, but it's a powerful control panel. I like Plesk for it's simplicity and it gets the job done too, nevertheless.

Plesk works perfectly fine on Linux machines. We've been using it for years. I'd say go for Linux.
