Learning graphics, what's the first step?

    Ok basically I'm very much interested to learn graphics, i wanna myself try making web templates, logos etc but I'm not sure where do i start from? do i start with PS or some other easy software? whats are good options to learn more abt graphic designing other than ebooks?

    would appreciate any guidance. :)

    I good way is just to experiment with stuff, but when making web templates just don't clutter it with crap try to make it simple and sexy. And you could look at tutorials to get some ideas of what it should look like and then eventually build on it adding your own style.

    you should start with PS then move on to illustrator or others

    but just experiment bro and then you'll eventually get the hang of it

    I would say that to have a successful career in the graphics industry, one needs to have the passion in designing and a creative mind.
    The graphics tool should be used to accomplish the creativity you have, not the other way around (designing just becoz the particular graphic tool offers a specific feature).

    Gain the requisite knowledge of using the tools thru books/ online tutorials and practice well. You'd learn more from your mistakes...

    like someone else said earlier just experiment with photoshop
    look through other pictures or templates or whatever and try and make your own but with your own style

    Just learn photoshop straight away. A mistake I made a long time ao was to start my designing experience with fireworks, now I still gotta relearn how to design from scratch with photoshop. :p

    Well to learn graphics the first step is to start from the basic tutorials. There are tons and tons of tutorials found on the internet on whatever you want to learn. So try those sites like tutorialized.com and start from the basic, experiment a lot and one day you will become a pro.

    There are loads of tutorials online for beginners in photoshop & illustrator, Start with the best, you dont want to get confused between programs

    Play with Photoshop and follow tutorials, thats all you need! Try making different things and follow tutorials to get there.
