I have joined yahoo groups to increase traffic. Ping,digg and hubpages have also a lot of traffic to my blog. I try to upload new data on my blog. And always try to use lattest key words. These days i am trying to use youtube for this purpose. But some i have searched that it takes too much time.
I haven't done much to promote mine. Just word of mouth, tried some blog traffic exchanges, and getting hits from other accounts I had on other sites. But, as I learned, many people like to search for How-Tos, and tutorials, so if you can apply that to your blog and promote the post, you'll get people coming.
