i beleive in eveerything you've mentioned, i care less for landing on the moon, i really see it pointless to expolre the space, these hundred of billions can end world hunger instead....

    so
i don't care for reaching the moon, and if i want to give my two cents on this, i'd have to say
NO, we didn't even get closer to the moon!

Because if we really wanted to, we could end world hunger tomorow.
It's been said long ago that if every country actualy gave what they could spare (as in as much as they could), we'd have enough to bring every country in the world up to date with modern technology.

As that's not likely to happen in the next hundred years or 2, we have to look for other ways to spend our billions of pounds :D

Oh and yes, I think it did happen heh.

Solving world hunger is a pipe dream. You can't actually solve it. For all the farmable land in the world, you couldn't solve it organically. Even the idea of introducing GM crops is causing enough of a revolt in the developed world. For what crops and food we (as the developed world) have surplus, I don't think the idea of shipping tonnes of butter, milk, cheese and wine to Africa is really the way to bring the continent out of malnutrition.

But who maintains the technology and machinery that is inevitable? So we teach the indigenous people of that country how to maintain it, but they have no infrastructure, buildings, or tools. Some people don't know even know how to tell the time as they don't have watches or clocks.

It isn't as simple as throwing money at the problem to make it go away. The sad and undeniable truth is that world hunger will get solved by world poverty and education. The infrastructure of countries in Africa needs to be brought up to speed and the peoples there taught how to use, maintain and avoid the corruption of greed.

    But as for the topic:

Yes I believe we went to the moon. We went nine times, with thousands of people involved in it. It's hard to get that many people to stay quiet about it. Plus, recently images of the moon's surface have been taken showing the equipment and tracks left behind.

if you see the video you can see the american flag blowing in the wind
    but... what wind ? :D

The reason why i asked this question is that i received a VERY long email with like 10 points or so proving that we didnt reach the moon.
And the government did that video and brought this lie so that people will be satisfied that the money the US blew was for something and also to prove to Russia that US is great in technology.

One of the 10 points was pictures of Armstrong with his shadow and there's no sun around him.

Another photo for him too but his shadow is on different angle

Another reason was that it's impossible to get this ouch of clear picture while the moon has NO LIGHTS!
The noon is BLACK DARK unless you're facting the sun, which in the video they're not facing the sun.

And many other logical reasons, i really lost that email but i should have mentioned this in my 1st post.

edit dan just reminded me of the flag thing:D
Space has no AIR so how come the flag was moving;)

Of course they did. I believe in Mr. Armstrong. He's a good and honest man. You can read his biography on the internet.

    Very well said :)

You make a good point about the need to develop infrastructure in countries like Africa, but I don't see why this can't be done.
You say that someone will have to maintain any machinery we give them, but why can't people be trained to do this?

It's not going to be solved over night, but if we were to devote a full year to fixing these countries, I don't see why it couldn't be achieved.
Ultimately it's down to having enough time and people to train the 3rd world countries up to the standards of western civilisation. "Throwing money at the problem" would, in my opinion, solve a lot of the problems.

My wording isn't great, I'm hoping you understand what I'm trying to say heh.

This is often cited as proof, but the flag itself would never remain upright in the rectangular shape we all know a flag to look like. Along the horizontal top of the flag was a spring mounted arm. This arm caused the flag to flutter, because it supplied the motion and gravity just caused the flag to flutter to rest.

Did the email contain any evidence that was based on scientific fact? If you would like to read some information that contains rebuttals to all of the hoax theories, give this a read: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apollo...piracy_theories#Specific_hoax_claims_examined

From that page, on the topic of shadows and light on the moon:
    and about the flag:

and here is a video (from the Apollo 15 landing) that shows the flag NOT moving except for when the astronauts move it.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1UEv2PIzl4

and here is another video from Apollo 11 that proves the same point. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IrI3iQqTdns

I also believe we did land on the moon! I think the effort was worth the risk and money. Man has to constantly look to explore new things and it is through such endeavors that we tend to hit one jackpot or the other that revolutionizes the way we live.. :)
