Greetings all, and thanks for taking a look. My name is Jason and I am the owner of a new start-up that specializes in coding PSDs, and various design files, into the BEST XHTML and CSS possible. I've been coding myself for 8+ years and have worked with the best and know my way around good code. I already have a team of world-class developers but am always looking for more. I am looking for code that is: valid (strict is better) table-less (except where necessary for data etc) semantic (good use of tag names) seo rich uses tags intelligently (using DIVs for everything is bad form) no CSS hacks ( conditional CSS prefered ) cross-browser (including IE6) I am looking for the best coders I can find, and am willing to pay well for them. If you're interested, please send/post your best examples of coding. I don't want a 30+ site list of everything you've done, just one or two of some work that you feel is your finest. Thanks for reading, -Jason
Hey, I code XHTML + CSS tabless, crossbrowser. 1 example: http://www.standardgames.co.uk/ MSN: Email:
Hi Jason, I like to work with you if position is still vacant. I can assure you all you mentioned above, even i can do data without tables. I have few example work to show, but i will prefer a trial work as per your specifications, so that you can take your decision. the trial work will be done without any obligation as I understand you will offer more work in near future. Please check your PM for my contact details and other links. Thanks!
Hello Jason. You have got the attention of many coders with this thread! I would like you to take a look at http://www.agiliusdesigns.com/wordpress/?wptheme=ColorFull. This is a good example of how I used divs to create this layout, however due to the png graphics used with absolute positing, IE6 can't show it. As for a decent theme that is compatible with IE6 take a look at this http://www.agiliusdesigns.com/wordpress/?wptheme=MasGreen. I know it's not much, but as you said, few examples are best. I would like to also mention that I prefer using CSS Sprites and I can also use grid systems. Coding is fun for me, and I enjoy it. I hope that you will find this as a plus, since I think that you are also somewhat attached to your work after 8 years. I have only 3 years of experience but judging by the fact that CSS and table less layouts are not so old, I think I'm doing just fine. I am available for contact at my email address and MSN from 9 am GMT+2 to 10~12 pm GM+2. If you decide to contact me please shoot me a email. All the best, Agilius
Jason, I am interested! Please send me a PM if you are interested and I'll give you my email address so that we can discuss the details. Looking forward to your response. Regards, -- Naif

Data shouldn't be done without tables, it's just dumb that way. Too much code. Defeats the whole purpose. Forget inline styles. Try not using so many DIV's. There are different tags out there. Use them. Sorry I'm bored. lol. Jason, if you want a real experienced coder, who has everything you require and way more, as well as a good understanding of what a good, not bloated, coded page looks like, send me a pm. Regards, Nick
I am bit scare of "you should", "You must", "always" What if the client have accessibility issues and need Data/ Grids/ Forms coded without tables. some times they come up with specific requirements which a coder must fulfill. 75% of Those who are wanting PSD to XHTML knows exactly what they need as either they are coder themselves and outsourcing work to save time. I even done gradients with CSS without using any image and it's again too much of coding, but client need the same as he/ she may has a specific use in mind before asking us to code that way. So nicely said that one size doesn't fit for all. however I agree if Tables work fine with Data/forms/ grids, it's no use coding the same without tables. [Any way i am no more following this thread as OP is not responding, seems he got what he need good luck! ]
Sorry for the delayed responses everyone. I've received many PMs and am going through them all. I will respond either way, so expect my reply. I am not looking for one coder for one project, but several for several projects. -Jason
