But the info you have on the site for free is worhtless... The same stuff can be found ANYWHERE! Again, your site needs to show your visitors that you know what you are talking about and that they should take your advice and buy what you recomened!

If you can't make your sales with the current strategy then i guess it's time to jump.Try other ways and keep marketing your site.There's a perfect strategies for a specific site.

You are the one being rude, not him. He was simply pointing out that if you aren't making money you shouldn't claim to.

My recommendation would be to start off with a less competitive niche. 50 people a day also isn't really that big of a metric to compare conversions with. Try to get some more traffic by checking out what your competition is doing to bring in links and copy them. Once you have done this study other people's landing pages to see what you should do to make yours convert better.

 

You need to continue working on that.. you will get sales soon..

 

The traffic coming to your website might not be in the right frame of mind for buying.

You need to work on your landing page optimization...things like The Offer, The Call To Action, The Image, etc.

Read more about this topic (on this forum and elsewhere), and then your conversion ratio will boost.

Oh, and make sure you attract BUYERS, not BROWSERS.

 

In other words 1 million hits and get 5-10 sales a day..

Harry, I can almost guarantee that the reason your are not getting any sales is because your website is not layed out in a way that makes people want to buy from you. It needs more visual appeal, it needs more clear copy, it needs a clear call to action, it needs a well designed product image on the front page .... hopefully this helps.

 

I think selling third person product is the hardest job. So for that you should have good site nice keyword and should be looking professional only then you can convert into sell.

 

Ive had over 400 visitors and 1 sale that was refunded. That was targeted traffic too

 

how are you getting your traffic? is it targetted traffic? maybe its your landing page? try creating other landing pages

 

I have the same problem (Although my company has only been active for 3-4 days) I suggest HEAVY advertising and just spreading the word.

In order to get conversions, you need to have targeted traffic to your web pages / landing pages. As you said, you have Google Organic Traffic, so its really bad that you are not even getting 1 sale on 50 visits.

This is because You only have 5 seconds to attract your visitor's attention. I think, you are talking about the website in your signature. What I ask is to put some more conversion points...like...
1> Putting some Lead Capture Forms.
2> Buy Now, etc...

Just think out of the Box and create the landing page and it will convert for sure... Best OF G LUCK...

 

I think perhaps the question has been already answered in the thread - and it's pointing to the wrong question being asked. It's not that the sales are poor and how they can be increased, but how to get more uniques to your site...and if the site is geared up for a good conversion ratio....then that problem will take care of itself.

 

People who say 500 visitors is nothing are only partly correct, even with 500 visitors you should still be aiming for a 5% conversion rate which evens out at 25 sales.

Nor is it your product, the people are not seeing your product to judge it.

This is down to one of two reasons:

Either your visitors are not targeted (ie they are following a link for knitting or something)
Or your ad copy is crap
