Google Chrome OS - The End of Microsoft?

It won't just overthrow it far's i think it'll pretty much Kill it off, but how long would it take? Well Let's just wait for the First RC to come out

i dont think google's chrome can kill windows market,but it may decrease its sales...too many people use windows and it has become part of their life .I know chrome uses linux kernel but it would be very diifficult for it to supercede windows and anyways chrome is targeted towards netbook and small computers...

 

Google products have proved ,in the past two years, not to be always as great as they say!

 

Google will need to do too much to catch Microsoft in OS.

Yeah! No Way that Microsoft could get to end.... Microsoft developed his brand name with heavy goodwill in terms of OS! so it will hard for Google to beat Microsoft trend straight away

 

Whoever said anything about straight away guys, the thing is that Google is smart and when they DO come out with something, they might have a few knick knacks to fix but almost always it winds up ruffling if not destroying Microsoft's feathers

 

We still cannot say, because, like Bing, it's a newbie. Who knows, it might have the same fate as Google SE. We can't compare it, and can't say who's better than the other until, maybe, when Google Chrome OS established something really worth a try.

Every body expected that Chrome browser will kill the IE , but nothing happned . So we have to wait and see .

 

Microsoft has been around for years, they will not die lol.

 

over time it will eat into mircosoft's share but that's presuming that microsoft do nothing. In reality microsoft are a shrewed business and will do what all businesses do when faced with new competition, they will slash the cost of their product and ensure that it is sold or even given any for free with PC's and laptops and then charge for updates. That way the competitor is priced out of the market.

 

It's gonna be Googles first Fail.
It will not be easy to just kick out MS OS, it neeeds to be something really good...
But still theres something big comming MS's way

 

No way. Google has a long way to go. The climb will be very stiff for them. MS is well established.

 

Microsoft will never fall it's quite simple is that the simple reason for that is that they make sure that they don't got the proper competition.

As for the browser it's Linux based so that explains how user friendly is going to be for people who don't got some knowledge in computers.

 

Not sure but sure google will take over some market from microsoft

 

Google chrome is on birth stage and dont have enough capacity even to kill firefox or IE , so i dont think that it kills microsoft.

 

even I can produce my own customized OS depending on Linux kernel
It's merely promotional, google is making buzz and giving the idea that they control everything

 

I don't think that google will be better than any other linux distro.
It will an opensource os like any other opensource os.
microsoft will keep its first place in the market.
