    I BELIEVE I HAVE BEEN SCAMMED!

I am the buyer and have paid him money. He gave me the login to his admin account of that forum hosted at forumer. He said that the domain came with the package and did not need to be transferred. When I pushed him on this issue, he refused to comply that the sale did not include the domain. There is no evidence that he owned the domain in the first place.

Just to remind you, this was how the site was advertised. It is clear that the PR5 domain was the main selling point.

By using the submission to directories as a selling point he certainly implies that that the domain comes with the site.
That's pretty odd. "I believe" - when you go to sell something don't you know what you're actually offering?

This is why i hate this site because theres so many bloody do gooders that don t actually part with any money they just sit back and critisice every thread, the ad has everything you need to know if the buyer had other plans with the domain rather than use it for what it was intended then thats his look out,i suggest in future he asks some questions it would make sense.

Just one question: are you retarded?

If I was the buyer, I'd be furious right now. What was the purpose of advertising that your site was PR5 if it didn't come with the domain? Don't you know that if it doesn't come with the domain it's not PR5? You even said you "believe" it comes with the domain. Since your "beliefs" were wrong, you must give him a full refund.

zxpro168, if he doesn't comply, file a case against paypal.

Why did you buy it in the first place, its a free hosted forum meaning the only think your getting is the admin account. Even if you wanted the database you would have to pay more to get it off forumer. Also you can't place ads on it because of the forumer google ads, and he domain name is free, what a joke

Ii believe NUFCfan is a real scammer here. I remember seeing his topic a few weeks ago and he was selling a PR 5 "lifetime" links. I wonder what'll happen to all the people who bought the link spots.... Here's the link to the topic

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=107852

nufcfan , i think you should return zxpro168 money, and ALL THE PEOPLE who already bought the so-called "lifetime" links from you. I mean, come on....you sold PR5 "lifetime" links then you sold the site a few weeks after ? just....wow. Where's your responsible ?

That's crazy - you don't even have an automatic right to your own data and you don't get the domain. Was anything being sold? An admin login - woopdedoo!

Thanks for your support. Unfortunately, it did not turn out OK. I filed a complaint via PayPal which nufcfan did not contest. PayPal ruled in my favour but he had already transferred most of the money out of the account. Unless he puts money back into his account, I will not be able any more money back. The lesson is you have to be very careful when you use PayPal to buy sites.

I have bought over a hundred sites and do not consider myself inexperienced. There were three potential buyers before who almost fell for the trap. I do not buy the argument that one can justify in using deceptive language in selling a product just because the price is lower than usual. This sort of sales pitch should be reserved for places like eBay where people can expect to get scammed, rather than in a forum for peers.

I did lower my guard in this instance because the amount of money involved was small and that I was fooled by the .co.nr domain. I wrongly presumed that it was a country specific domain and did not bother to check. It is not possible to take the database out of forumer and I am not sure what can be done with it. Any links on that site are no good because they would not be able to pass on link popularity. Therefore, quite a few others were scammed as well. I do not want to dwell on this affair as a lot of time have been wasted already.
