So when all you IE6 users dump your IE6, make sure you you install a modern browser, meaning ANYTHING but ANY version of IE, the worst browser on the planet. Link
Hell they should jump the gun and drop support for IE7 as well simply out of principle, people should have standards I know though... for a site like youtube that would be suicide.
I've thought many times about just blocking any version of Internet Explorer from accessing this forum.
I thought you'd block Mozilla (if anyone). Chrome and IE will continue to support Google Adsense, whilst the Mozilla adblockers will take it out. Without Google Adsense, surely you'd have to make DP a paid member site?! I knew the OP would post this. It is actually not Google turning their nose up at Microsoft, they say you just need to update to IE8, that's all. Microsoft still boast over a 60% market share and I can't see them losing any major ground. Mozilla's great for addons, but I lost most of the respect I had for them when they endorsed that piece of cr@p adblock plus.
Apparently so since you already missed them lose 35% market share over the last 4 years. IE loses ground almost every month while the other browsers gain. It is hoped IE will drop below 50% within 2 years. With Windows7 not having IE included at all (in Europe), hopefully it will be quicker than that. They don't "endorse" add-ons.
IMO IE will soon be called Gaboo or something.. Sadly it is the only browser which allows me to use my clicker/touchpad scroll on this version of windows on this computer.. I smell another reformat coming soon!
Some call it baboon but you are thinking of Gazelle but that's wrong, too, since Gazelle is a research project and not any up and coming new browser so forget about it.
Actually I figure Gaboo wil be the new MSN messenger name. They may call IE something like Zork or Winkab or Jikon
I have used IE browser for several years.. then FireFox existed. Since then I'm hooked in using FF instead of IE.
Although I hate IE6 with a passion, IE7 isn't too bad. I mean, it's still not good enough for me to want to switch permanently from Firefox, but it is useful for a couple of site I use. It's a long step up from IE6 anyway.
