yeah recently I can see the geographical location based search result. Many things can be changed. May be change can come that you can never imagine. anyway, with the change of SEO algorithms, i think that there are sill talented persons are there who will be able to figure out it. everything will be built up on logic, not on random or human based check-up.

 

SEO remains forever. No doubt.

But, the process of SEO changes accordingly with the strategies and changes followed by the search engines.

Even their is many search engines in the market, all are following a similar algorithm in producing results.

So, don't worry about it and go with the new updates made in the search engines. Also follow the regular updates. Just analyze the search engines.

Well as the person is saying all these are assumptions and if the life of SEO would have to die it would have much much before but sorry to say its still alive and that too with great demand indeed.
And this is not the 1st time google changes its search Google alwayse update its algorithm as per the requirement and thats his business as we should forgot that Google is a business and its main role is to provide accurated search result for its targeted audience.
And we SEO people work is to try to study the Google new strategy and optimize our website. And that will die only when the search engine will die.

 

Well said. Now a days web based business are increasing day by day and these businesses are depending on the Search engines. Now a days Google giving more importance to SEO. Because SEO's indirectly helping them to improve their result. So there is No chance for death of SEO.

even i have heard this that google is about to launch Honest search and once they do it, all the SEO guys will become unemployed....
would love to see what these SEO guys come up with!

 

If you're saying SEO is dead then Google, Bing and Yahoo! are also dead. As long as search engines are doing good, webmasters will always try to optimize their websites in order to rank well in search results.

 

Thats the thing with online marketing..you never know, what works today may not work tomorrow.

SEO will never be dead. The web design industry and the internet in general are changing fast. Today SEO has evolved from what it used to be a few years ago. Social media has become an increasing focus for SEO and they are all related to each other,. So will SEO grow and change, Yes. Will it die, Never.
