Established E-Commerce Site with Dropshipper

General Gym.com – This sporting goods web site was set up in 2008. The site sells over 780 gymnastics related products. The site runs on the shopping cart available at www.ecommercetemplates.com using an Access database.

In 2008, the site was run via remote connection to the database on our main site. During 2008, the site sold over $9,000 in products. This resulted in approximately $2,000 in profit.

In 2009, we redesigned the site and launched it with its own licensed copy of the ECT shopping cart. This allowed us to submit products to Froogle, etc. Through today, 7/14/2009, the site has taken in 16 orders for a total of $5,621.22 in product. The result was over $1,200 in profit.

The products are supplied by a single vendor who drop ships via FedEx Ground to the customer. The shopping cart is set up to automatically notify the supplier via email. Payment terms with the supplier are net 30. Credit card processing is currently done through PayPal and PayPal Pro.

You can continue to run the site as is by simply checking email to answer product related questions from customers and entering shipment tracking information on the customers orders. The shopping cart sends order confirmation to the customer, order notification to the supplier and when you enter the tracking information, a shipment notification to the customer.

You can choose to follow up with customers for product reviews, etc. The site is set up to automatically feed Froogle with a product feed every 30 days.

18 months of operation, we made better than $3,200 on the site. We are selling to concentrate on our main site.

Sale will include domain (currently hosted with Hostek.com for $7.95 per month), access to existing email addresses, a licensed copy of the ECT shopping cart ($179 value) and access to the supplier. If you agree to buy the site, we would require a $100 deposit via PayPal. At that point, we will supply you with the contact information for the supplier in order to set up an account. They ship to the US and Canada only. If, by some off chance, you cannot establish an account with them, we’ll refund your $100 and put the site back up for sale.
