serach text inside PHP files

    Hello,

    I am using Dreamwaver for PHP editing, and I am looking a way to search text inside PHP files without the need to open each one, meaning to search bulk files in a folder which contain some text in it?

    Dreamweaver has a very nice search and replace function that I use for all sorts of things.

    CTRL F, then change 'Find in:' to Folder. And then it's pretty much common sense from here on...

    @niceabi : Not sure if you really want to know that or if you posted this to get over peon status, but let me tell you. If you got SSH access, you can try using vim to open the file and you can just press / <text_to_search_here> and press enter.
