Two of my main keywords showing for my site in FireFox on the Ist Page in Google whereas same keywords showing on 5th page in Internet Explore> it's puzzle to me. What could be the reason?
Two things come to mind - the most obvious is that in one browser you're logged into a google application - gmail, analytics, adsense, adwords etc, and what ypu're seeing is personalised results. Failing that, it's that you're getting results from a different data centre and or/ one browser isn't recognising geo-targeted results.
No log-in to any google applications. Simply using both search engines to see keywords SERPs positioning and surprisingly different results and absolutely no clue why is that so?
Maybe your using a proxy with one of your browsers a site position is diffrent from country to another
The reason is the headers that the browser send. Mozilla sends as default language the english us, while IE sends the language of your Windows system.
A possible solution to the problem could be that you just need to clear your cookies and see that your not logged in to Google accounts.
Not signed into Google Account or to any Google applications. All cookies removed both in IE & FF Based in US, English Language. Now what else? Still the same problem of having keywords showing in SERPs Google differently in IE & FF FF showing keywords in Ist page & IE showing at 6th page. Any other possible solution?
i would think that IE or some other browser might be using a proxy and searching from another country's ip instead so it gives you different results, otherwise should be the same =\ can you give us url and keyword just so we can check it as well?
Have you check google search engine suffix? Sometimes, IE or FF by default refer to geo target search engine. For example, I'm from Malaysia and default google search engine is google.com.my while my main browser is set to google.com Check the suffix as the results from .com and .co.uk or .com.my have a lot of difference.
