How many monthly backlinks should i get for my new blog?

I am not sure how many forum posts or blog comments i should do daily for my new blog so that it is not excessive.

Plz Help.

 

Hmm. Well, I don't have a precise number to answer your question, not sure anybody does.

To me, an excessive number of posts would be a number you can't keep up regularly over time.

Find some number of postings you are comfortable with, and stick to it, day in and day out, for years. Get organized, make a chart, check each day off as you do the required number of posts you have set for yourself.

A friend of mind just passed a big anniversary today. He's published his web software newsletter, every single week, for ten years.

What does it take to hit the nail on the head every week for ten years? That's a good question to consider.

This is something I've often wondered about, and how excessive excessive would have to be. I guess when you are building links, in the eyes of the SE's, things should be consitent, whether that be 10 or 100 or 1000 links a day.

To clarify a bit, while the original poster is referring to the search engines, I feel the consistency is more important for the webmaster.

That is, most folks have a flurry of link building activity, and then get distracted and quit. I've done it a hundred times myself. To me, this is a more important question that trying to out think the biggest richest company on the Net.

My rant is, don't worry so much about Google, worry more about ourselves, and what we're doing....

....or not doing.

consistent is the key to become a successful blogger. If you are posting so many like everyone does when starting off and then rarely after a week or so, you are not doing yourself any favour.

Like the above user recommended, plan ahead and stick to it. It will help by far.

 

I've been creating about 350 links per month / website, for me it's a good number!

 

And thats exactly what I mean. One of the key areas that I've failed in is consistency. If you can't sit down, consistently, and focus on the task at hand, things will be slow, or they just won't happen at all.

It depends on how competitive your niche is and how "busy" your site is (based on updates).

There is no excess limit .. however instead of creating 100 backlinks in one day and then quitting for many days i would recommend u spread the activity for say 10 days .. 10 backlinks a day ..

Depends on your niche and where you're posting your backlinks. I have severe time constraints due to having a full time job, so I do this:

5 meaningful backlinks per week.By meaningful, i mean high ranking sites with high conversion. This has brought me increased traffic over time. But then again, websites are not a fulltime profession for me.

You can get upto 2500 backlinks/day to have no issues with the google.
