New Website Promotion

Hi

Say you've just started a new website and you plan on making it into something pretty damn special. How would go about first promoting it to rank well in search engines? I mean how many comments on blogs would you post to and how often? how many directories would you submit to in the first year etc...

 

I would only submit to the top directories, don't bother to submit to the thousands upon thousands that are just web noise.

Also:

- Write catchy articles and sub them to high traffic places such as Digg, ezinearticles etc .. (good for link baiting!)
- Get on the social scene
- Develop WP plugins or themes
- Post comments on dofollow blogs (I would say 25 per day is a good start)
- Participate in forums related to your niche
- Post Press Releases on PRWEB (Traffic and linkwise these guys are awesome!)

 

all good ideas above, best to go for quality. I have had great results with article writing, social bookmarking and videos also work well. Have you got a traffic/marketing plan? If not I would suggest you do one, a seven day rotation on how you are going to market the site, it works to keep you disciplined and focused,

I will suggest to make a good traffic plan (marketing plan) for website that u are about to launch!
Post it to the good directories not bundles as its time wastage for you, professionals only go for best ones. Quantity is not the matter, only quality matters! Yeh and post comments on do follow blogs. Write unqiue and special stuff to make your traffic high!

This what I prefer you to do and you can easily make your place, but hardwork is there!

I do most of the stuff above but i also run a cheap Adwords campaign for a couple of weeks.

 

As many as you can for the submission.. Well, Seriously you
have to try all the effective strategies like Bookmarking and writing
good quality articles... Directory Submission and participating in Forums like in DP

 

Backlinking, forum posting, SEO as much as possible, Adwords do whatever you want the possibilites are endless my friend

Would you pay for mass blog submission say...when people offer to submit to 200 PR2-6 blogs from different IPs for $10 or whatever...would you do as many of them as possible and say spend $100 or are you likely to get penalized by google or something?

 

i think web 2.0 submission and find the dofollow link and join different forum like dp.

 

I would suggest you focus on building links from other sites to your site first. You can get this done through few ways - ask bloggers to review your site, ask forums to review your site, write articles and submit to article sites and release a media release.

You can also get back links by starting your own blog on your site. Then start twittering!

 

I have heard that building links and putting words and getting traffic helps getting into good rank. But can anyone explain in deep all about SEO tips and tricks and how to perform it practically!

I really appreciate that you shared this stuff with us but i want to ask that how social bookmarking site and social networking sites work. How exactly we can do promotion there. Explain with detail please!

1. Do a keyword research and put more weight on keyword density of your content. If you have a keyword riched domain, it will be more easy to rank too.
2. Try to get quality one way backlinks from related sites. Submit your site to 1000 directories will not help much in serp. It is only an option to get more attention from spiders.
3. Social bookmarking? Yes, but the traffic gained is only temporaly. I don't recommended this.
4. Blog commenting? Yes, it work but it will take time. You can hire someone to do it for you. If you need DoFollow blog list for your targeted keyword, you can request one from http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1434348
