    This might be the rarest thing one would do to try to get traffic from Google. Why not try for direct SEO of our site rather than going for Twitter rankings into Google?

    Still, i have not seen any traffic of that type to my sites. So can't say how good it is.

    Actually I bought a service for tweets on an account that was I believe PR4 and it showed up in my backlinks not sure for how long though because it does not stay on the front page forever, but when I checked the backlinks it showed that as a PR4.

    No I personally don't use twitter but I have some good fan following related to my blog niche and their tweets drive me 1k+ traffic on single tweets . This is not daily stats but whenever they like the post and tweet it .

    twitter is about 20% of my traffic. is free and is good because it allows me to reach an audience from a bigger geographic location.

    the conversion for my twitter account is about 10 views per 1000 followers

    All the links in Twitter are No Follow, so it won't help in terms of SEO and as for traffic no experience.

    Twitter pages no only get indexed but they are treated like normal pages. So the more people link to a twitte the more likely is to find it on google. But keep in mind the following:

    Google is for get information that have been online for a while.
    Twitter is to get information about things that happen now. So i think it is better not to count on twitter for getting traffic to your site through google search. On the other hand you can get traffic by your followers. Those people might add the link in their blog, and thus you win in both cases. ;)

    I love Twitter personally. I Tweet about 5 times a day and usually get 100+ page views from each one. I have no idea if it's helping my site on Google, but I am getting great traffic from Twitter.

    Of course, twitter gives a great traffic. It's free and ultimately helps convert impressions to clicks. I've seen it's prominent effects on my website.
