How should i promote a newly written post on my blog?

How should i give the maximum exposure to a fresh and unique content written on my blog.
And how to protect it from getting copied by other bloggers?

You can get exposure by submitting your articles to social websites.

There is no way to stop someone from copying your articles. The best you can do is request they remove your work from their site if you discover them using it.

 

If you have Twitter, that is a great tool. Ask some friends to visit it and comment.

Also, try to find some comments that have CommentLuv. I believe that shows your last post on your blog when you comment their blog. Thus, anybody else commenting that persons blog will see your last posts' title.

 

the best way to promote your newly written post on your blog is by Social bookmarking. Submit your new blog post in SBM site like digg, stumbleupon, delicious, etc...

First make sure you have your facebook and friendfeed accounts update as soon as you click publish. I would have twittley on my blog as well. So when you submit your blog post to twittley its tweeted to twitter as well. Then submit it to stumbleupon and share it with your friends on stumbleupon so they can stumble it as well. If you think it will do well submit it to digg and reddit.

Now once you did all of that. Go do a lot of blog commenting on blogs with the commentluv plugin.

when I tweet my blog posts, with in a hour Ill get 30unique hits,
and ill tweet my blog posts 3 or 4 times per day
so, around 100 unique hits confirmed per day

 

Twitter Tools is the wordpress plugin I use and seem to be getting some good traffic from posts that I send to my twitter account.

 

best thing is to socialize your new posts to social bookmarking sites like digg, stumbleupon, twitter ....etc
try to invite your friend to comment and answer comments as soon as possible

 

i do saw ppl use twitter to update their post, then the twitter will update in facebook.

One great tool that I use that isn't listed here is article marketing. You may have a post that is a great post, but not so much an article. Well your baseline is already present, you could tweek it just a bit to make it article worthy and then submit it to ezine articles and other article directories.

Take your blog post url, and post it with the posts title to the popular social book marking sites. like digg, spotback, a1-webmarks, stumbleupon, del,ico etc.

If you think that it is a fantastic post then email the link to all relevant and associated blogs within your industry. Get them to write about the content on your post on their blog and add a link to you as the author of the source! I have found this is a great way of making friends as good quality content is hard to find!
