This actually a great thread for the ignorant. And what sources are you going to scrape for your autoblog? And when you get back rss feeds that have 2 line summaries what are you going to do with them? And when you have 10,000 outgoing links to other sites what does that tell the search engines about your site? If you want to set up an Autoblog empire you had better have a real plan about how you are going to monitize your traffic. You need to be a little bit smarter than the average joe to pull it all off. I find it amusing when the noobs think they are going to just make a 1,000 sites and scrape content and make money. And how do you maintain all of those sites? And where do you host them? And what companies do you use to monetize? And what do you do when your mighty blog empire gets blacklisted? It all seems so great doesn't it. Just set up sites once and head to the beach while the money pours into your bank account. The people making money with autoblogs are the people selling the scripts and the very select few who have figured out a monetization method. And those people are not going to share with you a step-by-step... just copy this instruction booklet (Unless of course it's for sale). But then you have to ask youself if there was so much money to be made doing it then why are they not just doing it instead of telling you how to for a fee? Get over it already. If you want to make money you need to create a business plan and then you need to figure out how to put it in motion. Lemmings don't get rich, they fall off the cliff like the rest of the lemmings.
Autoblogs might work for you for a little while but they certainly will not last forever and you will also face duplicate content penalties. You should not base your business models on such websites. I would post a link to an article explaining why you cannot make money using such automated niche blogs but i am not allowed just yet.
imternetmaketinggig, a whole lot of people make money from auto blogs, there is odviously a right way and a wrong way to do it, but dont fool your self and give false info that they dont work, because I make good money from them, the people that dont make money are probably the same people that dont make money online with any kind of site, I have been making money online for over 4 years and I dont need an autoblog to do it, but I have multiple sites and some are autoblogs and they do contribute to my earnings, , I have flipped autoblogs after 2 months for 50 times the cost of me building them and Ive built huge twitter followers with them, many blogs you read are autoblogs and the average person doesnt even know it, but to each is own, what makes you money may not make me money, and such is life.
you know what I find funny is people trying to make money with clickbank products, very few do, those with a huge list can but the 95% who try will and do fail. But I dont knock any ones way of making money, differant strokes for differant folks.I read all the time how you can make real money with adsence, but I havent missed a monthly check in over 3 years from adsence, the people that fail like I said will fail no matter what they do online, very few people can make a living working online, it takes trial an error, hel I sold sites that were making good money every month and 3 months later the new owners killed them and they cant make 20 bucks a month.
It depends on how you have it set up. If you are just scraping to use as niche content to drive your ads, then someone will probably make a complaint. As long as you are using what is normally available for syndication, technically there is not a whole lot anyone can do except change their feed settings, or disallow it all together. Bottom line is, individual blogs with a knowledgeable writer that are updated frequently, designed well, and promoted make money. You can't automate a successful business, and there is no easy way to make quick cash.
I think Wordpress.com is a good platform not only for your first blog but ANY blog that isnt aimed at earning money.
