Tweetake helps you to create a backup of your Twitter account on your computer. It allows you to back-up the people you are following, your followers and your tweets. Just enter the twitter login details and select friends, followers, your tweets and everything. You will see a 'Get'em!' button, click and proceed with the download of the files. Backup is important for your tweeter account because twitter can lose followers and does not keep your older tweets.
I saw something like this in the news weeks ago, not sure why anyone would want a backup of their tweets, although I have mine posted on my blog automatically with twitter tools
