Yeah, most people have liked GoDaddy.com quite a bit, I second that motion.

Have you ever tried to transfer a name OUT of godaddy to another registrar?

Page after page of ad filled screens to work through, multiple emails etc. it's right up there with Network Solutions for being a pain.

I'm hosted with Dreamhost.com, so I just used theirs. Seems to be very quick. $9.95 per domain. Not the best, but....oh well.

Godaddy is good ($8.95). If you buy in bulk you can use GD's wholesaler Blue Razor($7.25) to save a bit.

I also use Fabulous ($6.95) because their dashboard is very user friendly, and you can bulk reg/transfer domains with ease. Fab also gives you the ability to group domains etc. The only thing about Fab is you have to have own ~100 domains to get wholesaler prices.

Enom also has $6.95 user acct's but you have to pre pay like $400 US.

Godaddy maybe making bulk offers but can be really confusing sometimes from the other hand namecheap is a simple as a registar should be even for a newbie.

GoDaddy has got all the features you need, just be sure to dodge all the extra junk they throw at you at checkout. ;)

I don't know what it "best" means but there is no best registrar for generic use. There are cheap registrars that you use them to park your domains for example and others for your main developed domains
