Revenue Sharing Maybe Going Away...

I kinda agree, I haven't really made anything myself from revenue sharing

2.5 years, 10788 posts, 300+ threads started = $5.21 from adsense

Cutting down on the crap junk posts = PRICELESS!

 

Good news. The sooner this is done the better! Without naming names, it's obvious some members only post for revenue sharing.

There is a huge problem with useless posts coming from people who are only interested in the revenue sharing aspect of the forum.
Good advice is being overwhelmed from spammy replies and topics. All because a ton of people are trying to gain a couple of bucks a year?
The focus should be placed more on quality posts that can help people CONSISTENTLY gain a few thousand a year.

 

I didn't mind if rev-share is going away.

Will be better if shawn can use all the adsense income to fund the new server and developing DP into greater quality forum.

I think this step is very nice because we can find many users just posting yes no hi replies to increase their post counts . This is making forum more spammy and increasing lots of work for mods too . Now I have removed adsense but yes I also made $0.05 cents from here lolz .

 

Meh, my experiences with sites in the past, if it becomes a massive amount of work load, don't try being super-man. Just let it go. If and when you do let it go, just tell the community the why's and the "Why you shouldn't complain", in this case, being that it doesn't really make much money anyways.

You run a very big site, you cannot please all the users no matter which road you go down, so take the road that makes you stay motivated to run the site.

 

Yep. I've had a number of clicks over $2 and $3. Impressions revenue is pretty bad but click value has been pretty consistent. Without the $2 and $3 clicks I'd say the average has been about 15-20 cents.

 

I think no one makes money with revenue sharing system in DP, So it doesn't matter if its there or not there..

 

Please do away with revenue sharing.

Sharing (half? 30%? 40%?) of your adsense earnings with so many people never made much sense to me as the money is so wide spread that no one makes anything. Trust me, doing away with it is a good move! Also, DP is a large enough forum that there is no need for any kind of incentives for joining and posting.

 

Without doing anything at all!!.... except making 16 000 forum posts.

 

Man, I have made 7.80 $ with so less posts. I don't want this to go away. Can't you set up something to validate if the id's provided work or not?

BIG No, maybe years ago, we all made a few bucks but today, and years later I think its just "outdated". I cannot see anyone making more then a few cents a month,

I would just say "bye bye" to the whole system.

I mean honestly, creating a blog or a free forum is super easy these days and most people could earn a lot more just by adding there code to their own sites.
