How to become a moderator in DP

I would like to know that how can we become a moderator in DP as I can see few threads that persons with higher posts & reputation are becoming moderator. So, I would like to know that what factors & characteristics makes a user as moderator in Digitalpoint.

On a serious note, you shouldn't ask for a promotion.
I'd like to hire someone responsible, well parsed in the language that my forum is in, educated in the field my forum is in, they must have experience moderating and a lot of experience in the forum already. But I'm not Shawn.

His interest in being a moderator is nice. These kind of posts only hurt you if the staff is unreasonable. Seeing as this is a question on most dedicated members minds. They want to know how they can advance and take care of the site they love.

Though next time, I suggest maybe messaging an admin, or seeing if someone else has asked this before so you can resolve your answer quicker, etc.

Not anyone can be a moderator as dp is international and a popular forum among webmasters/designers/developers.

U do not need xxxxx no of posts or a quality posts, only shawn can tell u if he has any requirements. but i think so its not easy. u must be geeky person.

 

You have to sell your soul, sacrifice all current projects that you are working on, say goodbye to your friends/parents/spouse/children, give up all hope of ever being normal again, and buy a comfy chair so you can sit and moderate all day long without ever leaving your computer.
