IE blocking Adsense

Does it block all Adsense now? I've got IE 7 just to test sites on and it's blocking the ads I have, does that happen with other people too?

It's not blocking for me. Check if you have anti-spyware. Because some antivirus software blocks ads being shown.

I think it is something else besides ie7 blocking it. If you are using a laptop at a wireless connection it could be blocked by the supplier of wireless access. For example I worked at a public school for a while and when I would log on to their wireless connection I could not see adsense ads because the school district was using a filter. Most schools use these to block the kids from visting websites with pornography or gambling, etc. and sometimes the filter has a component that also blocks adsense ads.

What the....I just tried the two sites I currently have again and it said at the bottom "waiting for [address]" and just didn't load. Other times it's just been blocking them aswell.

So I thought I'd try a different site that had google ads on, so I go to it and the ads came straight up, went back to my sites and they came straight up there too! I think Bill Gates is trying to mess with my head....

It really hasn't been loading them though, then as soon as I try another site it's like it triggered it and now it's working. Not sure if I'll ever figure that out. Maybe something to do with my host having problems getting the ads up for IE? (media temple.)

Maybe I'll figure it out at somepoint, no clue at the moment though. Will post back if I find out.

Are you using any Ad Blocker??
That happens only when you are using an ad blocker. or may be due to high protection in a antivirus.

Don't think so. I can't stand IE and only use it to test with, and I can't remember installing anything on it. Nothing like this happens in Firefox, Chrome or Opera either.

Will maybe try reinstalling IE later and see if anything changes as it's doing it again, and even on the site that's not mine now.

It's most likely your internet privacy settings you probably set them on high by accident or windows security center did I wouldn't worry about it unless you're actually going to use IE which you shouldn't since firefox 3.5 is amazing.

Sorry guys, just had a look around and found the add on section and there was a crapload of them running. Just checked through them and the one that seems to be doing it is Spybot SD IE Protection.

Just found this aswell which links it in with some stuff I read a while back, about IE blocking adsense deliberately to give Google hassle. Does anyone know what happened with that?

The best Suggestion is not to use I.E and other browsers that don't show Adsense=). Promote Firefox and Chrome!
