Wiche Better Joomla or WordPress ? what do u like it better thans other in get archived in google SE faster
I have been a long-time Joomla user, but am now really trying to get up and going in WPMU. The best answer to your question depends upon exactly what you want to do. My philosophy is that the tool should fit the job, not the other way around. In addition to Joomla, I've used Website Baker, and now am digging into WP plugin development. The tool should be chosen to fit your needs. That said, I would boil it down to this: WP if you want it clean and relatively simply, fairly quick to get up and going, with a TON of good, free plugins AND templates (I cannot lie - WP themes are among the most gorgeous I've ever seen). If you want a very robust framework that really out of the box allows you to handle multiple complex content types (forums, video, profiles etc.) along with several third-party options, go Joomla, but be prepared for a steeper learning curve and ever-decreasing free extensions. It just seems to me that, since the 1.5 platform has become official, there are fewer free good extensions than there were with the 1.0 platform (that could and probably will change over time). I can also tell you that if you want to enable reviews for any reason on your site, currently Joomla has only ONE (1) robust review extension, it is costly, and encoded (which I NEVER recommend to ANYONE - encoded plugins are BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD, I don't care if they're free!) That's about as simply as I can sum it up.
if you're simply looking for a blogging platform - go with wordpress if you're going for a robust CMS (not just blogging) - go with joomla
I do agree that Joomla IS indeed, out of the box, a TRUE CMS (meaning built from the ground up to be a framework, centralized user controls, etc.). However, WordPress, though it started out as blogging, now is becoming a full-blown CMS in its own right. That is the direction WP's key team members are steering it in due to demands of the greater community. WP is merging with WPMU, and there are now CMS-type plugins for it. No, it ain't on the scale of Joomla yet, but Joomla has its own complexities, and again, the technical ability of the original poster is unknown. I love Joomla (well... at least the original version... still wait and see for me regarding 1.5 especially with 1.6 on the horizon), but Joomla and Drupal, too, are sometimes too 'heavy' for some folks.
Wordpress is better then joomla as its user interface is very easy to use and gives developers a control on the script, As i used both joomla and wordpress and i always feel easy to optimize the wordpress php code then the joomla hard structured code.
It would be wordpress.... For so many reason.... And by the way who says Wordpress is just for simply blogging
I love Joomla but I've found Worspress is way more SEO friendly. Yes, joomla does CMS better and WP for blogs but various plugins & extensions allow both to do either. WP is a way better blog and Joomla is a way better CMS.
That's not the only case though, anyway i'm going to give both of them a mixed trial today, let's see what i get
I like wordpress more tha joomla .moreover it is more userfriedly and seo applications are more int his.
i think wordpress and joomla are both good. both will serve the purpose.wordpress is more user friendly. joomla needs practice.
