You've got to keep in mind that white hat is for the long term, black hat is for the short term, that is, until you get caught.

It requires work too, and you have to evaluate whether the effort is worth the risk of being banned, penalized and so on.

In general, it sounds better than what it is, but it's up to you to decide.

    I advise against.

If you're good, you're good at white hat also, if you're not, you'll find yourself tired out of working and getting frustrated by bannings and having to go back to white hat...

    Good luck!

You must not take the help of black hat seo, white hat seo is much better and long terme, if you are unable to take your website in top 10 then you have to doing the following things.
    1. find out the reason why your website go down.
    2. if there are any type of spamming then you have to stop the work for a month
    3. if no spamming then you have to use the following techniques
    social bookmarking
    classified add
    article submission
    blog creation and promotion

My advice is that if you are willing to get your website black listed or even make those risks then sure mate, go ahead and try the "oh so great" world of Black Hat SEO.

In general i would advise to stay away from it and just work more on your websites content, linking to your website from good sources and look more at promoting your website in the way of "Content VS Visitors".

In other words, write content and make sure that it is informational and provides your visitiors with a good reason to look about your website more.

This will allow your website visitors to see more of your website and maybe they might decide to bookmark and share it for future reference.

    Have you tried stuffs like

    1. Press release
    2. Article Marketing
    3. Social Media Profile creation in Facebook, twitter, etc
    4. Internal linking of your website with good descriptive anchor text

I feel the problem that you have can be "link spikes - an abrupt reduction of back links and link juice. Check your back links first

Check if any inbound link has pornography & adult theme stuffs which google seem to hate

Check if your links comes from the same network of sites. Sometimes they may have same Class C IP which facilitates Google in identifying if they are from the same network - chances of possible drop

Check if you have bought links from FFA link - Google hate those :)

Check if you bought any side wide links or blog roll links

Check if you have done reciprocal link exchange with sites that pass negative link juice value or check if your site is still present as a two-way link exchange, he might have removed them

Start a word press related to your theme and link from those word press blogs. Do not make those blog sites commercial - just add some great content to it

Add great content onto the site and update it fresh content - page freshness factor counts

Try to get some juicy in contextual link from blog sites

Stop vigorous or massive link building techniques to your site

Avoid automated submission to 100 directories et al

Rotate your anchor text while going for link building. Try to have different anchor text in your inbound link

Remember: Google has a score for all :). It is important that you analyse your website first. check for possible spelling errors, see your style of presentation . Pay attention to the presentation and structure of your content.

I'm not sure I understood your problem, but if you significantly renewed your website content, you either have diluted the power of your targeted keywords, or it's viewed as new by SEs and it requires some time to be appreciated again. Your niche is very competitive, it does require a lot of work.

Keep working on the other SEO aspects of the site, relevant inbound links in particular.

    Good luck!
