= How many unique visitors per month? = How do you get traffic? = Do you have incentive offers on your website? = How much do you spent on advertising? = What kind of offers are you interested in? = Are you with any other affiliate companies?
And they want to make sure you are a real live person, and not some young sounding kid who may not know much about marketing. They apparently want people who know how to send traffic for their offers. Plus they want to try to trip you up, if you put one thing in the app, and tell them something else on the call, they can deny you. So I would suggest keeping track of what you tell them in a text file on your desktop, and when they call open it up and refer to it.
That's good advice, but if you're honest it's not a problem. They are trying to verify all the information, but their mindset is not out to get you.
Or...if you realllly want to know.... I heard from a little birdy that if you don't have a lot of experience, you can bend the truth a little bit to get your foot in the door... Usually saying that you market mostly through PPC and/or make websites based on the individual offers is a pretty safe bet.... Expand upon the business you already do if necessary, or failing that, just decide on some good but believable numbers, and stick to them without getting too specific when you don't have to... Do your research to find out what good numbers are for the markets you are interested in. If you get turned down, call back and ask why, I guarantee you will get in to almost every one! Good Luck
Why is the call dreaded, calling your aff manager is a change to develop a mutual relationship/trust between you and the network. Do you have something to hide?
You're right, the call shouldn't be dreaded, but many people who don't live in the US or Canada are nervous to get approved and speak on the phone.
You hit the nail right on the head. I hail from Southeast Asia, and am not very good at speaking or listening to foreigners over the phone. Plus, when the companies do call it is often in the middle of the night here. Not a good time to make a good impression when you've just been woken up from your sleep Nevertheless, I agree networks that do not call you are a little fishy.
