    Anime streaming website for sale
    animeboard.co.uk

There is no revenue or stats as the site is new.
It would be monetised by affiliates and adverts.
The site runs on a custom written script which uses legal licensed videos from Joost as embeds.
The watch online pages of the site have been highly optimised for search and should (over time) gain a high search engine rank.
It is a great anime related domain for a site with a forum.

    Starting Bid: $50
    BIN $200

*At least $10 bid increments please

125$ bid. Providing you can answer a few questions for me.

How many episodes do you have loaded? What type of script is running in the backend? How hard is it to add more episodes?

Where is the domain currently? Is it free to push to enom?

There are currently 446 episodes loaded (All using Joost as they allow licensed video to be embedded).
New episodes can be added with ease, using the admin form which allows you to add either by joost episode id, html embed code, or external link (example of this is the Naruto series which I added a link to an affiliate site)

Domain was purchased along with a hosting24 package so it is registered at Nominet.
I'll look into transfer costs but it will come out of the bidding price not on top of it.

Okay I just went through Joost and there aren't that many anime series streaming from there. So I don't know where you got the rest from.

I went through a couple of anime series on your site and some of them have have 4 episodes like the one I watched and then going to Joost I see the most notable anime series is Bleach but it does depend on when they get uploaded since the site is subject to waiting for new episode releases. I would guess that people get annoyed with waiting for that site since most people can just go to any 'illegal' streaming site and get the latest episodes instead of waiting. Even Bleach on the site is only on the second episode for season 3. In reality Bleach is far more along than that.

No activity on your forum... so the only reason you are selling is because it will be a failed venture or you don't have time.

I will bid $50 on it if all else falls through.

Oh, I see you don't have bleach or Naruto on your site so that is a problem in itself. In effect you are shooting yourself in the foot by advertising crunchyroll.

I said there are 446 episodes, not different anime series.

If users want content that is not available legally from this site, they most likely will go to an illegal site but this the same with any legal streaming website if content isn't available...
The point in using legal content to run the site is that you will not get in trouble with the law by running it, where-as if you linked to copyright material else where you may well do.

There is no activity on the forum because it is a new site (as I said in the first post..)
I don't see how advertising crunchyroll to watch Naruto is bad for the site.
The reason Naruto and Bleach aren't available from the site itself is that it's a UK based website and those anime series aren't available outside of the US, so providing a Crunchyroll affiliate link to users seeking those series could be an effective way to monetise the site

No...you misunderstand the point of what an anime site is. Sure it is legal and it is fantastic, but for example... I went to one of the anime series. It doesn't get updated that frequently and therefore there is a waiting period involved for these legit anime series. That in itself means that people will go elsewhere to get these anime series. People in the anime world don't worry about whether it is legit or not. A handful do and the rest...well you should know the truth for yourself.

So to start off...you assume advertising crunchyroll is going to bring in money. Sometimes...but if you are in the anime industry as I am, you will know people are more likely to buy off eBay or other sites, the complete series including anime accessories than pay to watch episodes online. Yes you may get the few who will, but problem there is you lose potential fans to another site. If you were primarily an affiliate site, then it would be understandable, but have streaming episodes. No point having it it point to another anime site that is a million times better than yours because they will never come back.

Yes, you will get the initial money or money on a monthly basis, but losing people to other sites, especially in the anime world means your site will close down faster than you can imagine. Anime sites rarely survive unless you have something that brings people back to your site regularly. By that I mean every third day to once a week at the very least.

So how frequently does Joost get their episodes?

Do you see where I am going with this.

Anyway, I am giving you a realistic overview of what it takes to run an anime site.

This thread is to do with selling my site, not ranting about how using legal sources means it won't be updated as frequently as otherwise.
If you want an illegal anime streaming site, please stop posting in this thread as it is not selling one.. I'm sure there are plenty for sale on DP.
This is for people who don't want to worry about getting in trouble with the law.
The websites name is "animeboard" so in the long run the site would be based around a forum community, so if people are to watch anime elsewhere they could still discuss in this websites forum.

Wow... both of you are totally insane.

Do you know what it takes to run a business. Let me guess...probably not. You make sites to flip them or something along those lines. The points I brought up are valid and by throwing dumb comments like I am interested in an illegal site shows you how immature both of you are. For the person that said I am a guy, shows you how you can't read.

You haven't answered anything I said which makes me believe that paying whatever amount you want for a site like this is a waste of time.

Points worth considering for any site are:

    1) Is the domain name easy to remember.
    2) What affiliate programs does it run?
    3) Will the affiliate programs interfere with getting returning visitors?
    4) What is the objective of the site?
    5) What interactive elements does the site offer to visitors?
    6) WHAT IS THE COMPETITION TO THE SITE? The most important factor that both of you forgot. Hence why I mentioned other sites.

Untill you understand the basic principles of what it takes to run a site, you both will never make a profit of it.

Oh did I forget to mention that AnimeLeague, one of the best sites in the UK with over 15000 ACTIVE members can't even make a profit, what makes you so sure yours will? That is the problem here. Insulting me isn't going to make the questions go away.

I will leave at that. People that insult have low IQ in any case.

    Good luck!

    Sarah

Your comments are not needed here. The buyers can figure that out themselves if they want to buy it or not. If you want to comment on a website do it else where, this is not the place for it. This is Buy and Sell. If you are not interested in buying do not post and wasting your time writing all that crap because no one cares. If they want to buy it they will and I am interested. Sites are not all about profit, its about the community and fans. Stop wasting your time and getting your e-go and post count up. I think you e-fanny is very big by now.
