Twitter Lamp is for sale

Twitter Lamp is a new website that helps Twitter account holders to follow other Twitter Members (upto 20 at a time) based on specific Topic/ Interest.

    http://www.twitterlamp.com

Site is new hence assume no revenue or traffic.

    a) Site uses Twitter API to find latest tweets (for specific topic) and for follow requests

    b) Ad integrated in home (468x60) and result pages (160x600).

    c) Currently the site limits 100 requests in an hour (Visitors will be shown the wait time in minutes during this overlimit period) to comply with Twitter API policies. This helps site owner to prevent unnecessary IP banning by Twitter API due to overlimit API requests. BTW the hourly limit is for the overall site (NOT IP/user specific).

    d) Site requires PHP5/ mysql and cURL enabled server.

Twitter tools are gaining momentum nowadays and I am sure the prospective owner of this site can monetize this website well.

Domain is regged at Godaddy and expires July 2010.

    AUCTION details:

    Starting Bid: $20
    Minimum Increments: $10
    BIN: $150

    Payment by paypal only.

I have a question about this:
The script performs up to 20 follow requests at one time.
When 5 people visit the site within 10 minutes or so, will the rest have to wait until the hour has passed?

No they need not wait. The script will display the following error link only if 100 http requests have been made within an hour's time.

    http://www.twitterlamp.com/index.php?error=5&time=8

A real life example would be as follows:

    a) 25 requests (by various visitors) have been made between 10.01 and 10.20
    b) 50 requests (by various visitors) have been made between 10.21 and 10.45
    c) 25 requests (by various visitors) have been made between 10.46 and 10.55
    *** 100 requests threshold reached
Any number of requests after this period, will have to wait until the clock strikes 11.00! (i.e. for the next hour).

One more important explanation: The 100 request limit is for our site's processing script. Dont confuse this with the 20 follow requests what you get in the results page.

    Coming back to the auction:

The $25 bid made by the above member is valid and is the highest bid at the moment but plz. make sure you are bidding in increments of $10.

As I know, twitter isn't so glad for the domains which have twitter in it, or am I wrong?

Is it a homemade script? :)

No response from buyer hence the auction is still active.
The highest bid so far is $25 from Hej.
I am looking for quick sales hence reducing the BIN price to $100.

If you feel the domain name may cause problems, I can have this script installed on an other domain of yours. This script is custom-made and the buyer would receive all rights to it. From my side I will sell this to only 1 person...

    Happy bidding!
