I'd say your main problem is the same as a lot of people, you don't go to places to meet new people.

When was the last time you went to somewhere and actualy sat down and met completely new people? And I mean actualy got to know them a bit, had a chat for a while etc?

That right there is the main problem, if you don't put yourself in these situations you'll never find a girl

Like someone else said if you're really that shy start with online dating, it's a lot easier to get to know someone through MSN and build up to talking to them face to face

Be brave, you don't have to be shy, being shy just brings problems to you. Talk with them through phone call or text. Date them out for movies, for a walk, exercise (jogging, cycling) in the garden. There are so many ways you can think of.

 

Just be yourself. If a girl doesn't like you for yourself, there's no point in having her as a gf.

Don't change your personality at all. If you're shy so be it, there's no point in being uncomfortable and pretending to be an outgoing person when you're not. Ultimately you'll end up unhappy not being you. You can try meeting someone online because usually it's much easier to chat that way.
