Have finally finished working on my latest proxy site http://www.httpjump.com and decided to use just Adbrite at the moment as i dont really want to risk loosing my adsense account but i have thought about adding links to my File and Image hosting sites as i think they go hand in hand with a proxy site.In your opinion as you folks have run these types of sites for a long time is this a good move to promote your own site rather than pack them out with other peoples adverts.I fully understand that they never make a massive amount of revenue but the visitors to the site could be good for my other sites.

Thoughts on this one please.Thanks

 

Mega B, I had a image hosting site and kept a obvious link to it on all my proxy sites. (It wasn't buried under the footer in small text or anything.).Yet the image hosting site always stayed like 1 million alexa rank and got maby 20 visitors a day and off those maby 3 or 5 uploads a week. Most of the visitors just bounced.
But honestly I think the image hosting niche is too saturated, so that may be the problem. After a few months I just closed the image hosting site. No one was interested in using it.

You can use adsense on the main page without violating any terms. But do not use on Proxified pages.

Anyone suggest me a good CPA CPM program to go with proxies. Adbrite is killing me.
7 days, 30000 impressions and $2. Thats too bad.

Nope but i see it on a warez website
and if they accept warez , why not proxies ? _clicksor has already banned me for using them on my proxies_

 

GlobalInteractive and AdVersal are the two best CPM companies for proxified pages (that are easy to get into).

I applied for most of the programs. I keep getting Application declined. Globalinteractive and maxbounty even have a proxy category for application. I selected that in hope but no. Looks like I have to form an ad company to compete all those and Google especially

Doesn't google have restriction of three units on one page? You have five of them. Is that allowed?

 

@Guttu thanks for your advice about the safe use of adsense i could well add it to the sites tomorrow,i am still amazed that some people get 1000s of visitors to a single proxy site i have a few sites the main being http://www.httpjump.com this is a established site but i am still stuggling with a few 100 aday,so why are some are bringing in alot of visitors i have been promoting the site and yes it has responded in the amount of user on the site and also i have added them to Digg and Twitter and once again that bring in a few more a day but is it because the schools are winding down for the summer holidays or is the good weather we are having.

Help put me out of my misery on what i am doing wrong !!!

I get around an average of .03-.04 CPM for them, which is more than I can say for most other networks. Plus, they have a 100% fill rate, so while AdBrite might count 1k impressions, they'll count all 70k. They also have active support and pay on time.

 

What is your cpm for US traffic? It is no good looking at the average cpm across all countries. It is up to you to block traffic from countries that have very low cpm rates. I'm also using MediaShakers and XtendMedia, and GI had the highest cpm for US traffic.

 

Usually somewhere between the 5th-10th of the month.

 

Oooo, so proxies are still a good way to make money?
