    My directory's PR dropped from 2 to 1 today. but i am not understanding how can it be possible?

    Is google pr update is still going on?

    any idea?

    small drops happen all the time for as Google makes minor adjustments

    Nowadays, Google is updating the visible PR all the time. After every few days, you will see threads where people will be mentioning that their PR decreased.

    Google surely is doing PR updates very often and Google is doing small PR updates that only affect some sites.

    PR can drop and rise any time. Try to get some solid links to get a stable PR.

    yes page rank is constantly being updated behind the scenes by google, if yours dropped perhaps you need to do more off page seowork re link building with blogs, forums, directories, article submissions etc to help bring it back up (if pagerank concerns you) -
    some of the pagerank of your backlinks may have changed or the sites disappears etc which will of course affect your site

    Google does minor updates continuously and your pr decreased due to minor update (most likely).

    PR updated about a week ago. As others said, you might have lost your backlinks.
    It would be a good idea to get more backlinks.

    I get a lot of high PR backlinks but my PR still the same. At least i don't loose PR :)

    It will take some more time for the PR to stabilize. Don't worry too much about the drop in PR; instead concentrate on bringing more traffic and see your income move up.

    If your directory received a PR upgrade only recently, then google has been pretty consistent since the last two updates to be giving it by one hand, only to be taking it back with the other! :(
