it's just the same as live. i think they hired a google ex employee, remade the whole engine and need a new name for it.

Simply because Live, MSN wasn't successful(IMO).
But Bing's traffic is increasing and that's a big development for them.
I just do hope it would also improve in relevance results.

yes its true they are never been successful in live search so they introduce bing as a new search engine.. just an old marketing way to keep your $$ on track..

BTW bing is lovely and more efficient than live search.. i love its look and the way it searches.. plus the crawling rate is also improved

    bing SUCKS

they spent $100 million dollars for a ONE PERCENT gain in the search engine market.

Wow, just think-- Gatesy can spend $1 billion and gain 10% on Google???

One big plus with the name change is that people can now say they will 'Bing it', and it probably roles off the tongue better than 'Google it'. It sounds daft, but these things are important in marketing.

Bing is different because it more focused on how people search for information. because right now bing & google search results are almost at the same quality most of the time.

but the difference about bing is that Bing is more focused on the user interface and organizing search results

One small study has already been done, and I posted it elsewhere, showing that's not true. Personally, I've blind tested this over the last few weeks and even Yahoo beat Bing. Bing got no search results right.
