    Hello everyone,
I am looking for .gov and .edu do dofollow blogs.I search a lot to know easiest way to get backlinks from .edu and .gov.

I started searching blogs using the search query tips publish on various blogs.

ie site:.edu inurl:blog “keyword″ and site:.edu inurl:blog “comment” -”you must be logged in” -”posting closed” -”comment closed” “keyword”

The tips are nice.I m using some plugins and tools to check do follow blogs but it is difficult to find .gov and .edu do follow blogs that comes on search result.

I also try to search using Comment kahuna, but not succeeded.

Moreover,I found a tip on a site tip for searching .edu and .gov forums which i am sharing with you.

    * viewtopic - to get Forum posts from phpBB
    * showthread -to get forum posts from vBulletin
    * index.php showtopic ipb -to get IPB forum posts
    * index.php topic smf - to get SMF forum posts
use these keywords in this query site:.edu inurl:forum “keyword"

There are large number of threads on do follow blogs in DP but i am unable to find free list of do follow .edu and .gov sites.

You are on the way, these are the basic way to find dofollow pages. Don't trust software, Jut do it manually. Try to find forums related to FOSS. Most of open source related forums are giving dofollow links in the threads and signature.
Eg: Meeboo , Joomla , Drupal forum

Also many Drupal, .Net blogs have dofollow links.

There are no easy way to find dofollow blogs especially .edu and .gov

Continue to use your method and check with several keywords.
I able to find some .edu blogs using your search terms above in google.

Edu and gov backlinks are hard to gain .
Maybe your donation can make your company site listed in the edu site .
Also in the event marketing, you have large chance to listed your company site in news column of the gov site .

Sometime, comment is dofollow can help you so much and improve your ranking with .edu . But if you want to get .gov , it's really so hard. But it's not mean no way to get.

It's important because it's all of valid and trusted site. Of education and goverment , so if you have a link from there, it will increase your trusted in google.

Hmmm.. You can contact the webmaster of that institution or government.. Maybe in that way you both could be friends and you can be one of his information resource and someday he will give you a link. Make sure your site is newsworthy or is in good quality.

Make a site about your community and you can ask your congressperson to place a link to your site on their personal page. That's how http://valleyfocus.com did it ;)
