When people who don't speak English as a first language use an article spinner, they don't really have a clue about synonyms. Language limitations mean they might know one different word that means roughly the same so they have to use a synonym tool. As many English words have multiple definitions, the synonym tool throws up a hundred different examples of how not to write. You need to name and shame them, at least giving them a bad itrader
I think the worst idea is to ask for samples. Who says that the samples you're given have been written by the same person?! The best would be to add the writer on messenger. You can really get a feel of their skill. Also, if asked for an upfront payment, never give the whole amount. Give about 40% if you absolutely must. Trust me, I'm a writer.
Actually you know, just reading peoples existing posts tells you a lot, especially the ones where they are talking about nothing in particular.
I don't know how much you paid, but most often you get what you pay for. I hate when I order articles (right now I'm broke so I've found myself writing for others for money) and I explicitly say I want a native English speaker to write my articles and I get a bunch of garbled crap. Let me know if you need anyone to write articles. Like I said, I'm broke right now and I'm writing articles for others. I can write about anything except tech. Technically, I can write about tech, but it involves a lot more research than it is worth for me. Vkuller is right about adding people on messenger, but I usually don't want a bunch of random people having my MSN sign on. I usually send out a series of PMs asking for information and read it from there. When making a large order, I'll order one article and look at it before going ahead and ordering the remainder.
Quality writers won't work for the kind of money offered on these forums. I know I certainly wouldn't.
Hi everyone, This thread is very interesting to me, as I'm in the launch phase of my ghostwriting business. I've been lurking here for a while, and I'm also over at WarriorForum a lot, so I've been getting a good feel for how this whole thing works. I will say I've been rather appalled at some of the pay offered on this forum. Posters will have a long list of specs for their job and then offer $2? Come on ... And with that said, I'm also appalled at what some writers, and I use that term loosely, are charging for their work. Talk about selling yourself out. I'm starting my rates at .02/word and even that is lower than I'd like, but I realize I need to establish myself first. So that's not going to last long. I realize I have no history on this forum, but that doesn't mean I don't know how to write! So, PM me if you want quality writing from someone who will research your topic and actually cares about your job. Have a great day, all. Debbie
Hmm, yeah ... now that I read that again, I guess it does appear that I hijacked the thread. My apologies, it wasn't my intention. The article in the OP just made me think about my fledgling biz, and I typed it without thinking. Though I still stand by the "being appalled" part! Again, sorry folks. My eagerness got the best of me. Debbie
Exactly, you get what you pay for. If you want a good article you're going to have to pay good money for it.
Lol that why I just hate buying articles sometime I get luck and other times it is spun garbage. I know how to copy-paste-push spin and it takes less then 30 seconds an article so why would I pay someone $5 for 30 seconds of work? It is called a scam.
I've paid for worse than the OPs examples. Luckily after a year of paying for gibberish her on DP and usually rewriting most of them I've found a writer who is excellent and charges a fair fee. On the next batch I will give her a bonus as she deserves it.
A lot of people just use google translate to translate some article from other languages to english and after that they dont bother correcting it (or they dont know how) so you get great articles like those you have here.
We write quality articles, and all of them are quality content written by true English speakers. If you're looking for good content, and not junk like I see at the beginning of the thread, you can check us out.
Once you're going to buy any pre-written content, always take samples from each article to check their quality and uniqueness (at least one paragraph)
I've bought some articles when we've gotten jammed up, and I know to ask for samples like @contentcomp says. Also, run it through Copyscape, because I've been burned that way, too. Those samples were really dreadful. Art
Also, I wanted to point out there is a seller on DP with horrible iTrader with every fifth being a negative. Anyway, she sells okay articles, nothing special. However, every time she write an article for someone she says she's giving them a deal for it, which is fine, sometimes I'll write for less than my posted amount usually when I am desperate for work. This user gets really crappy about it, though, instead of just simply saying it. Then, she will go around DP and have other people write the articles!
