I'm taking a trip to the Texas State Cematary to visit a couple friends. Then going on a trail ride for 2 days :).

The trail ride sounds like a lot of fun, are you going to camp outside?

    Here's a cool fireworks photo I found.:)

Of course I am. Me and my buddy take 2 horses each, one we ride on and one carries our supply's/tent etc. It's a lot of fun. We usually bring food out, but, only use it if we can't catch anything fishing or hunting.

HostLoneStar, Northpointaiki, and Zibblu it sounds like you have fantastic plans for the 4th of July! I haven't really made any plans this year, but one day I would love to go to Disneyland for the 4th of July. Here's an awesome display of fireworks at the Magic Kingdom.:)

Disneyland on the 4th sounds awesome!

Thinking about inviting some of the other American Expats in the area over for some brats, burgers, and beer.

Spending time with good friends would be an excellent way to celebrate. I found this recipe for an American flag cake, you could make that for dessert.:)

You just bake a cake in a 9x13 pan (even from a cake mix), and then top it with whipped cream, blueberries, and strawberries to make the flag. It looks pretty good, I think I'm going to try it. Here's the complete recipe: American Flag Cake

My brother is getting married that day. If it weren't for that, I'd probably be at a tea party.

Congratulations to your brother, they'll have fireworks every anniversary.:)

I've read a little bit about the tea parties, you do mean this tea party, right? Do you think the tea party itself is constructive at creating change, or is it just for networking and meeting like minded people?

    Thanks.

I think it's efficient for both. If the media covers it, people might catch on.

VOTE Obama out of the presidency and you still have a chance to celebrate the 4th, till then it sucks.
