I started a site last week that is receiving about 1-3k in visitors a day. It is a niche site my_Worst_secret . com What kind of advertisers do you think would work best on the site? What kind of revenue can I expect from this much traffic?
Another spam post I thought, and maybe it is. But the site is actually quite a ood idea. Will be interesting to see how quick it fills with spam and junk as there are asolutly no captchas or anything else on posts and comments!
Not a spam post...I would have written the full url out for the link if it was. There is no advertising on the site currently as we are wanting to not do lame adsense but want actual good advertisers like on textsfromlastnight or other similar sites.
My advise is to try different networks. I'd stay away from CPM with that very little traffic. Whats your traffic source ? Adsense might not pay well in terms of CPC, but if you do good placement you can make up for it in high CTR. Show 3 units to Search Engine visitors and one unit to returning. There's wordpress plugins that can do this.
Post have to be reviewed before they are uploaded. The comments do not allow URL's and if one is posted it is quickly deleted.
We have had about 25k page views the first week of the site. Hopefully it continues to grow and will get a good following or return visitors. You think CPM isn't a good model of a niche company?
the site is good .... better take some anti-spam measures.... hmmm i am not sure which advertiser to suggest as the contents changes ... better go with google adsense or some affiliate network
Thanks Southwind19. We are going to continue to build it out and also have some unique features to the site in the next week or two. We hope our uniqueness with draw in followers to the site. There are so many advertising networks out there..hard to decide which ones to go with.
I like the story about the 73,000 dollars and you did not tell anyone do you still have it stashed and why would you leave a friend who blew up part of his hand and runnaway I guess you have a lot of worst secrets maybe you are someones worst nitemare.
Well they aren't my secrets...those are ones that have been submitted to the site. HAHA my life would be pretty messed up if they were all mine.
I guess it depends what you really want to do. If you want to make a few bucks a day. You can go do CPM ads. If you want to do more, maybe make more in the long term, i would stick with no ads, work on your design/look/feel/UI etc.... get it to the point where you are getting a lot of submissions / day. Then think of how you can monetize it... you want to build a community, no sense in sending people to other sites when you are trying to build your site.
