And how long did it take (a month, a year, etc.)?

    Thank you for sharing.

Well, I don't think I get financial independence, because I wtill have to work to make my adsense continue to grow. However, I don't use adsense again, I will get financial loss for sure, because it's just like lose my job. That's why diversity in earnings is important

I think that just about everyone who could have financial independence with adsense, eventually switches to another more lucrative means of monetization like direct paid advertising from sponsors, affiliate programs, or their own product. Only a very small percent of the websites in the Alexa top 1000 have adsense.

There may be many here in dp who have achieved success through adsense but remember the flow of money is not constant and may fluctuate. So, have alternative sources of income apart from adsense :)

Well... to acheive finincial independence with adsense is difficult, adsense is very upredictable, perhaps you need to have other source of income too.

I wonder if the AdSense team is aware of that. If this is what really happens, I think they should at least try to give more incentives to the publishers - large and small so that they would stay with the program.

But realistically, if let's say, you have a huge amount of traffic, even if the earnings do fluctuate, you will still be doing pretty good.

I would still like to hear from someone who is making, let's say, between $3.000 - $10.000 a month (or more).

adsense is all about finding the niche and the little secretes that make it "shine".
I am doing only like 200$ a month but will keep growing .

That is great! I am a firm believer that if I can make $1 from something, it means I can make $10 from it. And if I can make $10 from it, I can make a living out of it. Sort of Mr. Burns' mentality (from the Simpsons).

We make between $3,500-$6,000 per month from Adsense... it fluctuates widely, especially at the moment. We also get another one or two thousand from affiliates. We live on these online income sources.

It took us (hubby and I) something like about 9 months of very concentrated, ongoing work... 16 hour days, 7 days a week, for a lot of this time... I guess to reach a level of enough to live off. We survived on savings during this time. Our sites are not MFA's. Most of our income comes from one site. We also do not pay for any traffic, so except for our hosting, internet fees, rare replacement of equipment etc, and very occasionally we might hire a writer for some content, our income is basically profit.

I thought i would reach financial indipandence. But, every time I hade more sites my earnings go down. So, I gave up with adsense regards to financial indipendience. You should try other things as well as using adsense

Awesome! Thank you for sharing that. And what is even more great you get most, if not all, of your hits from organic traffic. [IMG]

I am living off of my savings now too, trying to make it on my own. I do not want to work for anyone anymore. Just myself.

Adsense is not my biggest earner but if I wanted to, I could live comfotably on it alone...
