Should I invest ?

Well, I saw a domain called i.am which is a 1 character domain name, yes it is registered.

What do you think, should I invest in 1 character domains? I think there are some left on weird tld's ...

And also, how much do they worth ?

For example let's say I have i.am and in 3-4 months I get on it a pagerank 3 and a alexa rank of 900.000, will it worth more than 500.000$ ? Yes I know I am dreaming, but they could worth this kind of money since they are so rare.

Rarity is not everything. Last year people went crazy for 4 letter .com's working on the basis that there were only 456976 of them. Domains were being passed around for between $100 and $200 on almost every sale. Now however you may struggle to sell them for $20 - $30. By all means some do sell but the only people who actually made much money are those that created the bubble in the 1st place and knew that it was just about to burst and jumper ship (you will find that there were maybe 10 or so people who actually held the bulk of the domains at 1 point).

You need to look around for comparable sales. See if similar domains (taking particular account of the extension) have sold and if so for how much.

Also be forewarned 2 years ago another ccTLD were offering 1 char domain names until they discovered (or they claim) that it was unwise to allow people to purchase these domains. They then proceeded to stop allowing renewals until they had all expired. ccTLD's are not bound by the full ICANN regulations.

Thank you coffear. There were some tld's for example the .tt or .pr or any other ones that costs around 1.000 Euros to be registered, and I wanted to know if it is worth it.

I wouldn´t buy any domain, if i haven´t got someone that would propably want to buy for it first.

    But hey, that my opinion.

The thing is that on the tld i found some, a domain costs about 1500 euro per year and that is why I asked for your opinion first :)

I was thinking to buy one, make it popular for like 5-6 months and then sell it :) So with this I do it all under 1 year so I would not have to renew it.
