    Hi

I have a strange question to ask. I have 2 affiliate websites with the same cloaked html in the index.html files so that when you visit the 2 websites they redirect to the same landing page where you can download software.

Originally these 2 sites had the same title and description but I recently changed the title and description of both websites homepage files ( index.html ) to different ones but to my shock discovered that both were updated today with the same title and description in the Google search results.

Please can somebody tell me why this is so.

    Thanks

Well.. You changed the title and description of both websites... Assuming, the changes are the same then on Google Search Results will also be the same..

On the other hand, if the changes are not the same then there is a problem going on out there that i could not grasp and solve.

Yeah - this is so weird! I changed them so that they now have different descriptions and titles but it seems that website number 1 has somehow triggered website number 2 to be indexed with the same title and description?!

I have analyzed the meta tags and every tool shows different titles and descriptions for the 2 websites? Maybe something to do with the fact that they have the same cloaked landing page templates?

You may want to wait a few days or a few weeks and then see how the titles of your websites appear at Google.

If you updated them and they where both re-indexed the same day, the updated results that you see at Google could be how your website was before you edited them.

If you would like for me to review and evaluate the websites to offer an opinion based on what I see, feel free to reply with your domain names or contact me to chat in private.

When you have updated..? It takes some time for the changes to appear.. Don't worry..
If you want google to find the new tags fast.. just submit those pages to digg.. it will make it quicker.

Well its not like FTP wherein if you make changes to file, Refresh browser you see the changes

My friend google has to scan tons and tons or millions of pages and their spiders needs some rest as well :)

So it may take a while , May in 2days upto 2weeks sud be the time to reflect

Well I am saying a variable time for the reason how fast the spider visits your website then how fast it updates it servers it depends on several factors

But its reasonable considering MILLIONS and TRILLIONS of update
