There is no secret to getting traffic. its all about SEO. Make the search engines love your site, and then they will put your site at the top of their page. its that simple. backlinks + content + more content + more backlinks = good search engine rankings.
Put your laptop in the road it will get tons of traffic haha just kidding, try some article marketing on like ezinearticles/articlesbase, social bookmarking, yahoo answers, there are a lot of free sources to get traffic to your site but you must do a little research to choose the right keyword(s).
