People asking / begging for free Reviews of everything

Why is it when something is posted for sale whether it be a service or product, you get a dozen people in the thread saying
"free review? , can I review it ? any free reviews ?"
Thats all you see, Seems pretty ridiculous to me. When you ask people "why do you need a review" , everyone says, "I have to try it before I buy"

I have sold custom software on DP before, and I still get asked for free reviews, If I give it to someone for free, its not like I can get it back if they dont like it, not gonna happen.

When I go grocery shopping, they do not let me crack open a loaf of bread and try it before buying it.
If I get my carpets cleaned, I have to pay when there done, no ifs, ands, or buts about it. They did there side, I have to do mine.

Seems 90% of people in DP now are just looking for something free, Free traffic, free software, free services, whats next..

    "Selling a website "
    and get asked the question.
"can you transfer it to my name for a couple days to test it out?"

    again........not gonna happen.
I understand if someone posts a service or product, they are new to DP, have never dealt with anyone before, and they say it in there post "I am offering a free review of this"
    Completely understandable.

But I have 300 itrader, been here for 3 years, Have made transactions here for $xx,xxx and still i get asked about free reviews, even if the item being sold is $1. It doesnt matter.

This is all just my opinion, stop being so damn cheap ! if you want something , buy it, stop being a cheap begging loser.

Mate, You got a point somewhere but this is the online world...In real world you see what you are going to get..you know this is a loaf of bread or whatever you are expecting it to be..Here you cant trust anyone at all.., can you ? whos to stop a person from giving useless methods and keeping the money or even worse not giving any product at all..See even Ebay has feedback system..would you buy from a seller with zero feedback, maybe even if you would it will be different then buying from even a 20 feedback guy would it ? and if you see most sellers are new members with no feedback at all let alone any related to the product....
And even if a 300 itrader member is selling who is to say his account has not been hijacked ? Think of it this way

DP has a feedback system. Its called itrader.

Fact is, trusting or not, people should not be begging for free reviews of things unless its offered, if you do not want to make deals in a forum, then those people should go online to legitimate popular websites to buy products and services.

"And even if a 300 itrader member is selling who is to say his account has not been hijacked ? Think of it this way"
if that is how you are thinking, they how can you do any business online, what if ebay has been hacked and stealing info, that could happen anywhere.

    Thanks for your input though.

My suggestions to members selling in buy, sell, trade. Clearly state if you are giving reviews. If you state, no reviews, each member requesting a review is subject to an infraction. In such cases please use the bad post report to alert us regarding this problem. Clearly many many member run through forum posting without even reading threads (one of my pet peeves.)

I don't think this is a representation of the online world exactly, but just rather DP. DP is a cheap, cheap place. The only thing is though, custom software not from a brand name is normally released as shareware, this might be something you'll want to look into. A 15 day free trial or something with limited features. This will let people see how it works, but then they don't get to keep it forever, and if someone does buy it, you get the money.

There is a guy who owes me $50. His i trader is +150. He is ignoring my Pms.
What do you have to say about it.

There are people in DP who are constantly making products and are happy selling just once and making the quick buck.

A review copy in that case can help for all.

In any trade, the Buyer is given more priorities than the seller.

The seller : Buyer is 1: many relation.

I agree! I get a lot of this in article writing even though I provide a sample with any thread that I create. It's like people want something for free which is unfair for those of us who provide a service!

^^^ You wont get any sales then. Trust me!

The question is " Who will bell the cat".
Who is ready to risk his dollars to verify and review the product.

I have done it before when i was earning in high XXX$ per month.

    Now i am not interested.

    Thats Not the point...

People should know who you are and about your intentions....

If GetJimmy sells an E-book for $100K, I would even convince my dad to sell my house and buy the product even if he doesn't offer a review copy.

You dont have to give a review copy for every thread that you start.

I know people will still insist and try to get a peice for free.
    Thats understandable.
    Such people will always exist.
You just have to ignore them.

They are most probably not even going to buy your product.

Yes this is true, this was my point from the beginning. If someone is not offering, why should there be a dozen people asking for it.

Im glad to see there seems to be a tightning of the reigns on this problem. In the last few weeks people have been complaining about infractions after they ask for free reviews.
Thanks DP mods. you guys/girls are doing a good job.

So that same guy offers 5 reviews and THEN scams people.

Most of these people that "offer" to review it give crappy reviews in broken English that prove they didn't even crack the "spine".

A truly good review is when someone pays for it and then gives good feedback.
