Which looks better? Which would you rather?

Which of the following two site would you rather look at?

http://www.tptcomics.com/index.html (is the orginal)
and
http://www.tptcomics.com/teststuff.html (is the template i'm thinking of using)

Some people have said that the orginal is to bright or "kiddy looking", whilst some have said that the second one looks clean and easier to navigate.

what do you think?

i like the fist one...but....should be easy..to navigate

 

actually, both designs are kind of unstructured. try something more organized layout wise...

 

I can't see the second one. Did you take it down?

As for the first, I think the green background may make the text too hard to read. Also, perhaps you could consider using contextual dropdown menus which appear only when you click a navigation link.

 

I dont like the first one, the second one is giving me a 404.

 

Yeah I'm getting a 404 on the second too.

 

I don't like the first one either and I am also getting a 404 error on the 2nd link

 

The first one really needs improvement. It is Bright making the text hard to read. As the others have said we all got 404 on the 2nd one.

 

lighter color would look more fine. needs more improvements mate. not to much brightness.

The second is definitely better... I like it...

 

I also can't bring up the second one but I personally don't mind the first site the only thing is the drop down boxes just look a little out of place to me they stand out a lot because of the site being a little dark and them being white. But not a bad job in my opinion.

 

I think the second one looks better. Once you get the rest of the layout up, it should look fine.
