    Hello folks!

    I own a blog which is about 2 years old, Blog was loaded on wordpress 2.1.
    A day before i got an error while opening the blog & later i came to know that it is a virus attack on the server which disturbs the wordpress files.

    anyways i delete all the spammy comments update the version to 2.8 & also update the database. blog is live now but didnt open the pages.

    blog url: www.zebno.com (opens easily)

    http://www.zebno.com/ptcl-dialup-internet-not-free/ (give error)


    please help me in this regard. how to make all the pages open in the browser ???

    please edit your permalinks strucuture and your problem will be solved... of the link which you are saying is giving error...

    there is no single page giving error, all the pages when clicked to open seperatly is giving the same error. also new post is not working to when published & giving the same error.

    i have notice that there is no .htaccess file in the public_html
    any idea how to cope with?

    make your public_html file writeable (777), update your permalinks (wordpress will write the .htaccess file for you), change public_html back to (755)

    wp admin > settings > permalinks > custom structure

    /%category%/%postname%/

    now create file in notepad name .htaccess and paste that code given when u change ur permalink structure and upload.

    if u can not do then pm me i will do free of cost.
