Hi DP people, could someone tell me if it is necessary to manually run a full system scan with the anti virus system on a regular bases or just let it sit there monitoring the in's and outs of the computer?

Well, I don't do much scanning of full system. :D
I do it only when my anti virus detects a virus or something else. :)

    depends on your use.

if you are visiting porn sites everyday, you need to scan every 24 hours...:D.

I do a full scan once a month.....usually I let the scan run at nite when I am sleeping...:).
