Hi, Iam about register for account in godaddy through credit card but i have seen in one the thread in this forum that godaddy renews account without customers acceptance. Is godaddy reliable? Thanks, Venns
I don't have any experience with other ones .com domain places - and I'm sure there are better - but I have a couple domains at godaddy and they're alright - You can choose if you want to renew automatically or manually as well and they won't renew a manual one unless you tell them too
I don't trust godaddy...I have seen them showing available domain names as taken and putting a higher price to register them.
I've used them a bit, haven't had a problem. Now I have a reseller account with different company and get domains cheaper so no use for them..
Godaddy is a big company and so you can trust it somehow. But I find their control panel/interface too crowded, confusing and filled with ads or add-ons that if you are not careful enough will lead you to buy something that you don't want. I recommend name.com as they have simple and easy to follow interface.
Their customer service are ignorant, uneducated and argumentative. They have stolen a domain from me persoanlly also. In addition their 'hosting' is pathetic. Hope this helps.
I have been with GoDaddy for a long time. They seem to be quite good in its domain business. GoDaddy is considered to be the hugest registrar all over the World.
Ugh, I dislike godaddy... mainly for the ridiculous chuck everything in your face checkout system. www.enom.com www.moniker.com
I've been with GoDaddy a couple years. No problems, quick and helpful customer service, fair prices, $1.99 domains offered often.
First off, GoDaddy has way too many Upsells! As someone else has mentioned in here they do have a very slow interface. GoDaddy also charges extra for WhoIs Protection and Domain Public Safety, whereas NameCheap.com includes it for Free! So, just to reiterate, protection and private domain name registration is important, but if you were to purchase it at GoDaddy it will cost you $ 9.99/yr. Private domain name registration is included with all purchased domain names through NameCheap.
Your best bet will be Name.com or Namecheap.com. Both are fast, reliable and offer free features, such as Free Who.is Privacy Protection, etc. If you wanna know more about Godaddy's inferior Customer Service, check out these two articles: How to Overcome the Nightmare of Godaddy Domain Registration Process (Article by me) Godaddy's Abysmal Customer Service
you can sure trust godaddy but yes its becomin more slow and a bit more exp but some of my friends regestered with it and they seem to like it so far .
