The entire ideas is to make your ads blend well together with you site. If your ads blend good enough, then you can get more click for the ads. The content of your site should reflect what the theme you've set for your site. Don't place rubbish content just to get more CTR (because websurfer have no option rather than click your ads), then in the long term your sites unique hits will be drop.

You can also place you ads in any 404 error pages but please include informative content on that particular sites. Do not place ads in a standard 404 error pages content.

I think there has to be a significant distance between the images and ads or there has to be a border sistinguishing the two, if they are too close. But you should get confirmation from the adsense team of course.

Yee but the image and ads are seperate with the line (image line). So this is correct i think.

Yup... you're absolutely right. But for more security, please activate your ads with standard border line.

I just received a mail from Google saying that some of my adds are not good with their TOS.

Only thing that could be that are images by adds.

I have arcade site and use those images as all other gaming sites do.
Its fact that I havent anything that would separate adds and images, and my CTR was 6-12 % , so they decided to dissallow me that.

There is no need to tell you how my CTR is decreased now :(

what would a decent value for a hit counter be? i have a couner on my pixel "game" website showing 88,000+ visitors, rising by a thousand a day (at least). i thought it was a ok to show the counter to prove that the site is still gaining traffic! do i have to remove this now?
    site in my sig >>>>

yes, a hit counter seems not a good idea unless you really have that kind of visitors and you really want to show it off :)

we used to put hit counters(visible ones), when we had just learnt how to make websites.

No... please don't use any hit counter... It will bring less traffic for your site in the future... Use AWSTAT or Webalizer on your server if you want to know where's the traffic come from....

BTW.. My server is running FreeBSD..
